In natural nitrate mining exploited in the north of the country, after the extraction of caliche and crushing, the material is left in leaching pans, which concentrate the material to extract its richness using water.
Once this is settled, residues are removed using tailing bridges. This machinery was implemented at the beginning of the 20th Century, directly brought from Panama after the successful canal project; therefore, their spare parts are currently obsolete. This loading, unloading, and movement process is operated by electro-mechanic control masters, currently not found in the market.
Prodin completely replaced the control master mechanism for material transportation, loading and unloading operations. This implied re-engineering every part and piece involved, such as electric contacts, levers, and activating mechanisms.
As a solution to these products obsolescence, the entire parts and pieces were modeled, recovered, and manufactured. This way, a stock policy was applied to help the client with a quick responses to its problems, with a fast spare part solution and maintenance-free for the user.
